Use the "Power of Color" to make your software work for you...

Using the power of color can change how people use your software and increase productivity

Like death and taxes, there is no escaping COLOR It is ubiquitous, but it's rarely recognized for it's power to control peoples behavior. By utilizing the "Power of Color" within the MDS system you can easily draw attention or  give simple visual queues on any screen or field with the click of a button.
As an example the Open Accounts Receivable Screen now shows and past due invoices in RED - alerting a customer service rep visually that the invoice needs to get paid.

Simple and easy system changes like this allow you to control how people use the system and build a more user friendly environment.

Inbound Shipments: make sure your warehouse knows what's coming in...

Integrate your vendors shipping schedule into your warehouse

Save Time Money and Warehouse Space!!

If you ask your vendors many offer the option to  send ASN  (advanced shipping notice )information in a standard EDI 856  Document. The MDS system will import this information and update the in transit table to give your purchase orders a new level of detail. Instead of wondering when items will arrive you will have details by line of each shipment that will be coming to your dock.

Prior to the truck rolling up to your dock you can plan where the product will be put away or use our Put-away function to manage the receiving process. During  receiving  any operator can call up the In transit document and verify the products are received.  This saves time and reduces data entry errors. while at the same time offering the option to schedule your labor and warehouse space.

Generic Products: Is the customer always right?

Easily manage customers who won't or can't take and equivalent product.

A great way to earn more money and still provide the best level of service for your customer is through the use of Generics or Private Label products that offer the same quality at a better price and typically a higher gross margin.
As a distributor balancing the need to push those products with your customers preferences can be a problem.

Now with the Updated MDS Customer Specific Substitution Logic you can choose from a number of options that will make it much simpler to push those generics without causing customers who cannot or will not take a substitute product any problems.

Options Include:

Automatically changing items based upon a product profile or Requiring Operator Intervention
Customer Specific exemptions from substitutes on a specific item.
Tracking of the reason for the sub, (out of stock vs better margin etc)
